WHO IS OUR FOUNDER?
Joan D. Herbert (Albert to most of you) Nat'l Educator, Lc Aesthetician, LPN
A 19 year professional veteran in the field of medical aesthetics.
1990 designed one of the areas first True Day Spas... hair, nails, massage, body, face Tx.s
1992 Started assisting professional peers with day spa designs, products, education, marketing
Which then lead to working with the areas first Medi-Spa
1993 Became State Licensed to teach Aesthetics in local schools...
both beginning and advance courses
1995 received her LPN license
Used her medical wound care training to Create the lecture part of the State of Floridas first
approved Aesthetic Advance Clinical Course.
Taught and critiqued the first few groups before moving on to
work directly with accounts of skin care manufactures to increase their clients profits in services and
retail including advance education to their staff if needed.
2009 Due to industry growth and demand she formed "ASTRO SPA, Inc.
An Advance Spa Training/Resource Organization...
An Advance Educational/Mentorship Spa for the benefit of her professional peers, past
students, and clients.
Signature Skin Care by Joan is a member of "Astro Spa, Inc" for the purpose of
educating our industry and clients on a better healthier lifestyle.
